PureTerra active at online events – Fall 2020 (1): unlock capital & spotlight on water

Online platforms Fall 2020 (1) – Communities and events to bring a spotlight on water and to move capital towards water

Virtual events are up 1,000% since Coronavirus, according to a  virtual events platform. We have noticed this as well, since the PureTerra team has attended over 10 events in October & November 2020. We have been taking roles as a judge, speaker, roundtable host, sponsor, moderator etc. Of course one of the reasons for PTV to participate is to increase our brand awareness, but we have other motivations to be so active active at platform and communities.

Motivations for PureTerra to partner with events and platforms:

We partner with organizations to create awareness and bring a spotlight on a heavily underrated crisis – water. This is a crisis facing all human beings now, but often getting buried under larger themes like climate change, invisible to public, and has received too little attention than it deserves. We also partner with communities to can move capital towards water. PureTerra is doing everything it can to unlock capital for the innovations and to  bring more capital to the water ecosystem.

A good example of a community we work together with to  achieve both purposes is AVPN. Together we organize the AVPN webinar – Insights and considerations for investing in climate responsible water solutions.  This event will be attended by Fund managers, asset owners, DFIs, family offices, corporates and other social investors who we hopefully get interested in addressing the global need for safe, secure, and affordable water.

TBLI is another platform to bring water more top of mind towards investors. TBLI is the world’s leading authority on ESG and Impact Investing and has been educating and advising institutional investors for over 25 years. Companies and people join the TBLI events to explore investment opportunities and learn about latest trends in the ESG & Impact Investing. So therefore PureTerra partnered with TBLI to set up a panel discussion around the topic Water – The most Finite resource ? . After this session we had some very interesting conversations with companies like FMO and we learned a new word….Groupfie

A third example of a community we worked with this fall is Campden Wealth. They provided unrivalled knowledge and intelligence to a community of the world’s wealthiest families, their family offices and ultra-high net worth investors. Families connect directly with each other in a private peer-to-peer environment providing them with unique access to innovative, educational and networking resources worldwide.

Job was a speaker at one of the private forums  and an exclusive article  about ‘impact investing in water intelligence by PureTerra was published. The forum highlighed our believe that the status quo, along with the current methodology of capital allocation toward global water issues, is broken. Too much effort is being placed in the area of instant gratification impact strategies and not enough at the source of the grave problems the world faces with access to safe affordable water.
